statement + info

Everything in this world is interwoven with everything else. Every decision, action or idea comprises a dilemma. People are complex and contradictory and sometimes paradoxical. And so are all things on this planet.

My designs tell stories about complexities, in the present and the future. My work is meant as a statement about technologies and how we (might) deal with these. The objects I create are simple. This makes a lot of sense.

I hold a German diploma degree in Visual Communication (University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf). I have 8 years design experience, working as web designer, information architect and educator. I spent the last summer at Intel's People and Practices Research group in Oregon. The final 4 years before coming to the RCA I was appointed Associate Professor at Bergen National Academy of the Arts, teaching Interactive Design on graduate and undergraduate level and researching in artistic robotics.
